I'm delighted to introduce my debut book, “The Eternal Within.” It is written for both newcomers and longtime students of A Course in Miracles, with an emphasis on moving from metaphysical theory to applying its core concepts in our everyday lives and the many challenges we experience. It is a distillation of the wisdom I've gleaned from the teachings of Dr. Kenneth Wapnick, and the Course itself, supplemented by my own work as a long-time student of nearly two decades.

 

The early chapters delve into the complexities of the ego and its defense mechanisms, which colour our daily experience. While these initially seem dark and serious, as readers progress they will find that the spiritual journey is simple and light-hearted (although not easy). Undoing the ego is a lifelong journey and the key to progress lies in adopting a gentle and uncomplicated approach to the ego's seemingly intricate and imprisoning nature.

 

Helen Schucman, the scribe of the Course, once quipped the Course "was only for 5-6 people," a remark suggesting the world was not yet ready for it. With this book, I hope to increase that number by just a little.
